Cutest. Baby. Ever. | Birthday Party Shoot

Yesterday we shot a pretty sweet birthday party for a beautiful 1-year old baby girl in Turtle Ridge, Irvine, CA. A few hours of filming services were purchased by a family friend as a gift to the baby's family and we're pretty excited about the results.

Great Bridal Expo - 2011!

Sooo we've been looking for any trade show to attend this year to be social...film-making trade shows, extreme sports trade shows, commercial/marketing trade shows...you get the point...

In all seriousness, there's only one show to attend if you're looking for the best in the industry.  In this case, we chose to flaunt our wedding videography services (duh) at the Great Bridal Expo-2011.

We're (hopefully) setting up camp in the LA show and Anaheim show in November. 

The folks at the Great Bridal Expo have been doing their thing for over 30 years and show at all major U.S. cities between the end of each summer and the beginning of winter.  The expo grows in vendors and attendants each year -- the wedding industry is recession-proof!

We've been pretty busy, our apologies for being anti-social and isolated! Where to begin...

Our office is looking snazzy: cool chairs, more TVs, phone and internet (finally), and a gang of other cool toys and doohickeys. Phone calls are coming in, shoots are being booked, and we're meeting with a number of local photographers to take on as Pixel Film Featured Artists.

Brandon Davis - Athlete's Spotlight Short

We had a blast yesterday in San Diego, CA shooting local skater Brandon Davis for an athlete's spotlight short out later this month.  The sun was moody but the temperature was perfect and we ended up getting some solid footage.

We shot at Magdalena-Ecke YMCA International Skatepark in Encinitas on the 2003 X-Games vert ramp---Davis is primarily a vert skater and his talent and experience needs a 120' monster to get him goin'.

Yay! It has been a long few months but we have finally moved into our new spot! Our location cannot scream 'Southern California' any louder: the sun is high, the breeze is warm, and the passersby friendly and welcoming.  Can't complain!


So far it's pretty bare---some desks, computers, a few flatscreen TVs---but it's open and ready for more business!
